The Water Council education and talent committee will be hosting a “connecting talent through internships” event next Tuesday, March 23rd. The event will be at Manpower Inc. headquarters and is scheduled to go from 2:30pm to 5pm.
Students can expect to meet with company executives from some of the area’s water companies!
“Our whole goal here is to get the word out to these students that there are internships and ultimately jobs in Milwaukee and specifically in the water industry,” said Rich Meeusen, chief executive officer of Brown Deer-based Badger Meter Inc. “As a company I want to find the talent I need here, and the more kids that are getting into the water courses and interested in the water industry the better it is going to be for all of us.”

Shortly after our Summer Intern Program wrapped, just as the leaves started falling, we found that it was time to bring on 3 more wonderfully talented and driven students all given tremendous opportunity (and responsibility) to do some great work! Here’s the lineup:

****UPDATE TO OUR HUMAN WHITEBOARD EXPERIMENT****
At the beginning of the summer, we brought on 5 interns from local universities. Since the inception of the first generation “Spreenkterns” (@spreenkterns), they have worked on a myriad of projects for a number or local, regional and national brands.
One of the larger projects focuses on Zappos.com, the behemoth online shoe retailer. We had the awesome opportunity to travel out to Las Vegas/Henderson to visit the Zappos.com Headquarters.
